Click is Catching the “Perfect Wave” with Andrew Jones, CEO.
In our “5 Questions” series of articles, we help the Click community become better acquainted by profiling customers, partners and team members
This interview is with our General Manager, Andrew Jones. We find out more about his inspiration and his vision for Click as we continue our transition into a more partner-focussed organisation.
You’ve been in the role of Click’s CEO for six months now. What were you most excited about when you started?
Click is coming into a new stage of innovation and creativity, which is truly exciting for our partners, customers, and colleagues. In 2024, Click will emerge as a true powerhouse, pushing boundaries and setting new standards in the field of marketing technology; our work will make this company a dynamic and cutting-edge environment to be a part of, and I cannot wait to share our plans and successes for this year.
What is your vision for the Click?
I want Click to be an industry leader for marketers in our space (small to medium sized organizations) across the globe. Salespeople and business leaders are out there looking for inspiration and guidance on how to improve all aspects of their business, and Click will be there to help boost conversions and achieve more. Thanks to the creative people I work with and our amazing business partners, we will steer the company towards a fruitful new future.
What’s new and exciting in the works for Click customers?
Innovation is going to be at the very forefront of everything we do. Not only in terms of our product, including tools such as AI, but also in terms of our new partner program and overall customer experience. We want to make our tools as helpful and accessible to our business partners as possible and Click has many strategies in motion helping achieve this.
Where do you draw inspiration from?
I have been lucky enough to consistently travel and live abroad for most of my life. Stepping out of your comfort zone by immersing yourself in a new culture will always bring a fresh perspective on your values and your work. Being lucky enough to also raise a multi-cultural family thanks to my amazing wife has been by far the most rewarding experience I’ve ever been able to have.
What book has had a big impact on your life, either professionally or personally?
A personal favourite of mine I always come back to is Barbarian Days by William Finnegan. The author is a journalist and surfer who travelled the world in search of the ‘perfect wave’. His lessons on persistence under pressure and overcoming fear through hard work, his openness to travel, and the immense creativity and originality in his life’s work has always left me optimistic and motivated. This book has taught me more about work, people and life than any business book could!
